What is a Benefitees campaign?
We commission artists (or they come to us) to create a design that promotes awareness for a cause. Then, we print the artwork on a teeshirt, in a limited edition, sell them, and donate the profits to a charity chosen by the artist. It’s not all about the money, it’s also about the awareness each teeshirt generates through the artist, the non-profit and the supporters which is why we call each one a campaign. This teeshirt is a platform for you to share your story.
What's the benefit?
We want you to help build new networks. This will give you a new audience to educate and influence. A campaign gives you a story to share with your members, your employees, your friends, family and with your community. Each person who wears your shirt will have a chance to share the story of your organization.
Every shirt that is sent out, is packaged with a slip that reminds the buyer who the shirt is helping to benefit. Our website will also have a page dedicated to information about you.
How can I have a campaign for my non-profit?
To have your own Benefitees campaign, please read our Launch a campaign page for more information.
I'm an artist, how can I get involved?
There are many different ways to get involved. If you are already involved with a non-profit you can bring them on board or if you just want to help out any non-profit, let us know and we can match you up with a cause. Read our "Donate Design" page for more information.
Why artists?
We want to build new networks and we want really great designs. Artists are masters at communicating visual concepts to an audience. Teeshirts are simply a moving canvas’ that can make a lasting impression, one that can have a dynamic impact.
Why teeshirts?
Because we love to wear them. They are walking billboards that show our hearts. Great conversation starters too.
What type of shirt is the artwork printed on?
All of our shirts are printed on American Apparel tees—100% Fine Jersey cotton construction.
When will the first teeshirts be available?
We will start with 3 designs/artists/causes/NPOs December 1, 2008.
How much is donated to the NPO?
This will depend on the design, placement and color of the teeshirt. We will donate 100% of the profits to the NPO, which will hopefully be somewhere around $7–$10/shirt.
How often will you add new teeshirts?
Our plan is to add a new teeshirt each week, but we estimate about 1/month for now (with the exception of the 3 shirt launch).
